Nominations for the Music Teacher Awards for Excellence 2014 have now opened.

Event sponsors Black Cat Music & Acoustics and are once again sponsoring the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’, one of eleven categories now open for nominations and presented previously in 2013 to Peter Dunkley by Managing Director Guy Dagger. The award citation is for “For an individual who has made a seminal contribution to music education.”

The organisers say, “These awards will recognise excellence and innovation in a sector that seldom hits the headlines other than at times of crisis. We hope that the awards will shine a much-deserved light on the very best of music education across every part of the business. “ Nomination forms can be downloaded at and must be returned by 7th November.
